Does anyone know what weekend in August is the ACROD's Camp Nazareth Retreat? It usually is around the third weekend in August, but I'm not sure of this year's date.

It is interesting that the ACROD now has many parishes using the Revised Julian Calendar. At the Camp Nazareth Otpust, the Feast of the Dormition (Uspenije Praznikom) will be commemorated.

Many years to Metropolitan Nicholas for having such a great religious camp and retreat center! "O preosvjashchennijshem Mitropolit' nashem Kir Nikolaj, mnohaja i blahaja l'ita".

Well, rather than choosing one commemoration, ACROD has an "otpust combo" for both the Old and New Calendars--hence they're blessing flowers and fruit. :-D

Chtec,

I don't have a problem with that, but I'm a "Staryj Kalenarist'" myself! grin

The Camp is new calendar, but the bishop is Old Calendar. Wherever he is, I think it's Old Calendar for that day.
