I hope that another Orthodox community or a Catholic group can buy that temple. It would be horrible if it fell into the hands of the muslims.

I still can't find it. But nevertheless, my wife and I have fantacized many times about living in a Church.

That is precisely what happened to the magnificent Saints Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church, Stoney Island, Chicago - it was sold (for money!) to the Black Muslims, and where once was the Cross, now there is the crescent. The preachers do not hesitate to underline the point that "the Christians don't want your souls; they just want your money!"

There was a strenuous effort to block the sale, but filthy lucre won out over missionary opportunity, even though the Church had been proclaimed a Patriarchal Shrine by Athenagoras himself.

Unworthy monk and arch sinner,

Oh how we should love the things of heaven above all earthly gain.

That is terrible. You would think that the iconostasis would be translated into the new temple or donated to a monastery.

Why would a theater in Cleveland want an intact, and presumably full-size, iconostas?
