Beautiful changes; thanks for sharing them, Chuy, and welcome to the Forum.

Many years,

Neil

Thanks for sharing them, they are beautiful changes. God bless you and the St. Anne Community. Who is the pastor?

Very nice! One question... I didn't know people were still using the horizontal third bar. Can anyone who knows more about this illuminate me?

I am impressed with the vigor of the improvements. Whose passion helped bring this about? I would like to hear the story.

A real improvement.

I was struck by the unusual form of the three-barred Cross, however. Pews on a diagonal are also unusual.

I went to the church around 8 years ago and the Deacon who is a friend of mine said it was an old protestant church. It is an odd building and it would be very costly to change the layout. Of course if they took out the pews.......

LOL!!

You really hit on a landmine! All of our crosses (top of dome, front doors, etc.) have the slanted third bar. The big wooden cross out in front has a straight third bar due to the insistence of the pastor. Huge point of local controversy...

Our parish spent a great many years saving for this remodel. Once it began it went so quickly and cleanly because one of our parishioners, Mr. James V. Shepard is a rather gifted general building contractor and project manager. Our architect, Mr. David Tsow (his first church) and the large number of laborers, skilled tradesmen and sub-contractors really stepped-up because of Jim's leadership and simply because it is a church.

If you want to watch a montage of the entire project, take a look at www.saslo/youtube.html.

Thanks be to God for those pews. Particularly for those whose physical condition would have then focused on their own physical aches and pains and not the miracle taking place before them...

I am guessing we were up to maybe 100. With job transfers maybe down to 80?
