As I was informed, the byzantine tradition conceives of the Reposing of the person something like the following.

after death (on the 40th day) there is the Particular Judgment.

Then one is assigned to Hades to wait for the General Resurrection, where one will take one's permanent place in either Gehenna or the Kingdom.

In the meantime, as it were, depending on the outcome of the Particular Judgment, one awaits the General Resurrection in 1 of 2 "places": for the "unsaved" they await in the part of Hades where the inmates will be resurrection unto Judgment; and for the "saved" they await in that part of Hades where the Saints repose (sometimes called "Paradise"?).

My questions are:

Which Saints repose there now? (All the saints or only the saints who have reposed since Pascha?)

Where are the Saints who resurrected on Great Friday and appeared in Jerusalem (are they still in Hades {did they go back?} or have they somehow anticipated the General Resurrection and have now moved on to the "future Kingdom")?

What happened to the Saints that Christ freed on Pascha (Adam and Eve etc.) Where they not taken up into the "future Kingdom" or did they just go from pre-Gehenna Hades to paradise (and therefore are still reposing)?

In other words:

are the Saints "in heaven" (what the anaphora of St John Chrysostom calls "the future Kingdom")

or are they in "Hades" (awaiting the general resurrection, but enjoying "Paradise", where there is "no sorrow or mourning" - as we sing in the Panakhyda)
