What answers did you give yourself and did you give them to yourself in a "normal American accent" (I assume that means you speak 'Californian'). <Pavel ducks quickly as shoes flies over his head> LOL ! As for answers . . . . . . I stopped by a Russian Orthodox Church recently, and I heard slavic accents and, frankly, it was very pleasant. -- Ivan

I heard Metropolitan Anthony preach at Ennismore Gardens. Fr Serge is right; his accent was marked but unplaceable. Understandable from a Russian who lived in France much of his life.

I have the pleasure of knowing both Bishop Peter and Father Alex; excellent people. But I can't imagine why their accents should remind anyone of your humble servant.
Metropolitan Anthony of Surozh had a pronounced accent, but it seemed to be unique to himself. Metropolitan Kallistos tends to speak with an Oxonian accent.
Fr. Serge Father bless! Well Fr, Fr. Alex has a sense of humour reminiscent of yours. Perhaps I should have put a disclaimer saying that "this is my humble opinion". Metropolitan Kallistos' accent is amazingly beautiful.
