The Iowa Supreme Court held today (3 April 2009), unanimously, that the ban on gay marriage is unconstitutional. Gay weddings can start in Iowa on or about 23 April 2009.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think Harmon is posting that story in exultation.

UNBELIEVABLE, is all I can say.
Prediction: This will be the law of the entire land very soon.

...Rome is burning.

Correct.

I am not surprised this is happening, but I am baffled and concerend that it would take place in Iowa.

I am also concerned . . . for all the obvious reasons. On this and several other issues, I am finding that the heritage of the apostles really does make more sense...

I don't know what we as Americans are supposed to do about activist judges ruling from the bench.

As Michael Savage says, "The stench from the bench is making me clench"

One thing we can do is vote for conservative judges. Right here in Michigan we lost a good conservative Supreme Court Chief Judge Cliff Talyor due to Obama's coat tails.

The other thing we can do is continue to share the Gospel truth about marriage being between man and woman with non believers. I know that's the hard part! Its hard because there are people out there whose friend, child, brother, sister are gay and want to have the same things hetro couples have! There are homosexuals who truly believe that they were born gay and have no choice in the matter! Living a Godly life for some will be harder than it is for others. The Gospels don't guarantee that life on earth will be easy or FAIR! That some people will not suffer far more than others. Each of us has a cross to bear.- Its how you bear your cross, its how you look at life and all of its challenges and decide how you are going to live a good Christian life!

ps sorry for the rant, but its feels good to get it off my keyboard!
