Hi everyone, My name is Robert. Years ago (2002) I was on this forum and really enjoyed it. I have recently decided to return after having a be ad experience in my life. I'm originally from NJ but now living in the Midwest USA. for years I had a desire to consider myself a "traditional" Catholic and liked the Latin Mass. However, after a BAD experience at a local Latin mass parish (lets just put it this way: I was expecting more of the "Bells of St Mary's yet I got the "Name of the Rose" instead). Since then I have decided to return to the mainstream faith and now just consider myself a regular RC.

The experience left me pretty badly damaged mentally. It will probably take me a while to recover from it (I'm on anti depressants now). Please pray for me to recover soon and return to a normal, happy life.

I have a great love and respect for the Byzantine/Eastern tradition of worship and theology. It seems like just yesterday when I was singing with the best of the baba's at old St Nick's church in Roebling, NJ. I love the way the Byzantine (especially Ruthenian) people sing all the parts of the liturgy instead of just being passive spectators. How sweet those long bygone days were. If I could only get one second of them back then I would be in Heaven.

Well, it's nice to be back on old Byzcath forum and I hope to participate here as much as I can.

Robert

Lord of the Powers be with us, for in times of distress we have no other help but You.
Lord of the Powers, have mercy on Robert that he may find peace in you Jesus, and also find the priest he is searching for. Come Holy Spirit and make the way clear for him.

Well there is one way real quick. Check your email.

Also, I don't know if many people realize they have a bulletin board. Here anyone can ask for prayers, post and event, or send an e-card to someone. http://www.ewtn.com/faith/B_Board/bb.htm
Prayer requests are posted under new item.

Too, a bit off topic here, but they have EWTNkids
