May our Lord have mercy on His servant, Mark and alleviate him of suffering in this difficult time. Kyrie Eleison!

The professor's condition continues to worsen. From his blog:

Quote
I’m sorry I haven’t posted. I’m daunted by the task, and can’t give you as much as I’d like, for all of the expected reasons: Increased pain and shortness of breath, weakness and shakiness (?). Forgive typos.

May the Lord give peace and comfort to his servant, Mark, relieving him of pain.

Lest any fear that he is despairing however, he wrote this near the end of that same posting:

Quote
Sharon (nurse's aide) was crying as she took my hand and said this was going to be the best Christmas ever because I was surrounded by people who loved me. That’s when I started crying, when I realized the truth of what she said, and we had a room of ten wet eyes.

Everything was uphill after that.

The Professor has weakened considerably, eating very little in the past few days. A friend and his priest remained with him throughout the night yesterday and, from the remarks posted, it seems likely that the time of both an end and a new beginning may be very close. I have posted a comment to the blog, asking that he be told that his brothers and sisters here are keeping him in our prayers.

Lord, hold your servant, Mark, close to You, preserve him from pain, forgive him all the sins that he has committed by word or deed or omission, and make him ready to meet You.

May the Lord have mercy on Mark/Clay in these last days, forgiving him every sin and bestowing abundant grace upon his soul.

I pray that the Lord will alleviate any pain and that his guardian angel and all the angels will deliver him, when the time comes, with much love and comfort to the loving embrace of our Father in Heaven...Amen.

Kyrie Eleison!

This is so sad...may our Lord God have mercy on the soul of Clay/Mark and forgive him all his sins.

May his memory be eternal to God in His Kingdom. Amen.
