Truly an interesting article. Makes one wonder in light of the animals through the centuries that have protected people.

Reading this bizarre story, I am put in mind of the seraph serpents God sent into the wilderness to attack the rebellious Israelites as well as the story from the Acts of the Apostles where God struck dead Annanias and his wife Sapphira, who had been guilty of lying to the apostle Peter.

Whatever natural explanation there my be of this phenomenon,who's to say God didn't send these rampaging elephants to warn the heathens against further persecution of Christians?

I'd like to add that Hindus worship an elephant-headed "god" nmaed Genesha.

I thought "Ganapathi" was the name of this weird elephantine "deity".

Since elephants cannot undergo Baptism, it therefore follows that Baptism is not a pre-requisite for defending oppressed Christians.

I believe in both the mercy of God and His righteous vengeance.

We just don't know for sure if the rampaging elephants were sent by God to tave revenge on the heathen persecutors. And we can't rule it out, either.

I just happen to think it's a cool story. If it ain't true it oughtta be. LOL
