Embedded in another thread I mentioned one of the teachers at the PSALM workshop. For those who won't look at that post one of the teachers ("Singing Text Musically") was Nicholas Kotar, choir director of the St. John of San Francisco Men’s Chorale [sjmc.sfsobor.com] -- take a listen!. He's a young man of amazing talent and background. I'm thinking he is the son of a priest at Holy Virgin Cathedral. Anyway, a man of great skill and exciting background. The future of Orthodoxy!

Do click on that link. There are five mp3 downloads of this beautiful Chorale. I particularly love the Hymn to the Saints of Russia. I hope the liner notes on their CDs include English translations. smile

Way cool. Don't have any by them in my collection. Going to rectify that, now.

I notice in the videos [sjmc.sfsobor.com] and the photo gallery that there are several priests in the Chorale at times. The "Scores" section also has an mp3 of "Theotokos, Virgin, Rejoice" which is in English.
