Ellas! Yasoo ! It's about time. Teen, when I was a teen in my part of the world ol' American foot ball was the king, and we didn't know too much about this business of running around kicking a round ball with a pattern kind of like an Oreo cookie. But now, it's the opposite with my kids, they are completely into soccer and follow it very closely, and could care less about the gridiron.

Yeah, it seems soccer is sweeping the country. Around here no one plays it or follows it or cares about it. I do, however, play on my school soccer team. I like it alright. Soccer is a bigger deal for my private school because we don't have a football team (we're too small). Out in the "Real World" around here, no one follows it, though.
Maybe that'll eventually change here, too.

It is much less costly than football and the injury rate is lower. The kids like soccer, but seem to get more into football when they reach late high school and college age. And - just between us - tennis is ok, too. I have been known to watch it myself. But golf - never. That isn't even exercise I have heard they call it golf because all the other 4-letter words were already taken.

Dear Logos: No game in which LOVE is worth ZERO points is of any value to anyone, especially a Christian! :p Originally posted by Teen Of The Incarnate Logos: This argument is moot anyway since everyone in his right mind knows that tennis is the best sport known to man.
Logos Teen Congratulations to the Greek team!

Logos Teen Dear Logos Teen, Tennis is recorded in the Bible: Moses served in the court of the Pharoah. But baseball was played earlier: Gen 1:1: In the big inning... Paul

Tennis is recorded in the Bible: It's amazing what one can prove from the Bible. I was once told that the KJV has the name of Lazerus' dog. It says, "and moreover, the dog licked Lazerus' sores." My friend said the dog's name was "moreover."

Well, sure. I mean, Elijah got kidnapped by aliens - it's right there in the Bible! And my eldest sister (of uncertain denomination) thinks that cars were mentioned in the Old Testament.

And of course it is a sin to play marbles, because the KJV says repeatedly, "marble not I say unto you."

There are also a lot of men who wore big hats in the Old Testament. Big hat Isaac, Big hat Jacob... oh groan. Yes, Teen, soccer certainly has a lot more finess. I played defensive line in school and basically was tasked to run a couple of yards and knock someone over. Soccer is quite a bit more genteel.

This one goes out to all the students and teachers out there. Remember, kids, that homework you'll get is divinely commanded. And now, a world from the Lord:
"Amen, amen, essay to you..."
(...Post-termpaper stress disorder is getting to me.)
