Hello!

My wife asked me to share some information. In November, a pro-life women's health group opened in NYC called The Gianna Center, named in honor of St. Gianna Beretta Molla. They are an outgrowth of Dr. Hilgers and the Pope Paul VI center in Omaha, with whom you may be familiar. They work with women for many reasons, but one of their specialties is infertility, using a system called "NaPro Technology" that is spurned by the pro-IVF medical community.

They were affiliated with the last Catholic hospital in NYC, St. Vincent's, which recently closed. If I understand correctly, this is imperiling the Gianna Center's ability to take different insurances and shrinking their client base.

This is a pretty tremendous place. We travel three hours from upstate NY to go there. They have made diagnoses and offered courses of treatment that are giving us real hope, and were never hinted at during many years of going to local fertility specialists.

So, my wife wanted to pass on some information about them for anyone else who may be in need of such services. Here's their website: Gianna Center. [giannahealth.org]

And this link has a video that talks about their mission, and in the middle my wife gets interviewed about our struggle: Video. [netny.net]

If anyone wanted to pass on their information, or has some questions, please feel free to private message me and I'm sure my wife would be happy to provide more details.

Finally, I want to take a moment to glorify God and marvel at how He answers prayers. Last year, my wife and I were in a really rocky patch because she was pressuring me to do IVF, and I wouldn't do it. I asked everyone I could think of to pray for us, including posting here (link below). Long story short, my wife is now something of a pro-life crusader and it is a tremendous grace. God is glorious in his mercy!

Prayer Request

And thank you to the Mother of God, our guardian angels, and all of the angels and saints and all of you kind folks who prayed for us.

Thank you for the info. I'm happy for you and your wife found the Gianna Center. Has a pregnancy been successful for you and your wife?

I hope you don't mind, but I posted the video link to our Pro-Life Office page on Facebook "Eastern Pro Life"

A point of interest... I think part of the agenda of the USCCB sponsored conference "Human Fertility--Where Faith and Science Meet" there are to talk about a special diet which increases fertility. Can you shed any light on what that is about?

Christ is amongst us!

Father Deacon,

Not yet, but it's not been that long since she had her last surgery with them. Thanks for asking!

Not at all; that's why she asked me to share, so as to get the word out.

I'm not familiar. I'll have to run it by my wife.
