Just joined the forum today. Good to be here.

I was raised as an atheist and was taught atheism in public schools and believed atheism until I was 38 years old. Then I spent 20 years in the Reformed tradition of evangelical Christianity. About four years ago my wife and I became Benedictine oblates at a Catholic monastery in Florida.

I am self-employed, have two grown daughters and four grandchildren. We enjoy the Florida birds and butterflies around our home.

Eastern monasticism and the Eastern Catholic churches are primary interests and the reasons I joined this forum.

I appreciate the privilege of being a member and look forward to getting to know you all and your lives as Byzantine Catholics and members of the other great Eastern Christian Churches.

Peace to your hearts.

John,

Welcome to the forum. Please feel free to ask questions and voice your thoughts whenever you are so inclined.

Many years,

We are easy to identify, we open our front doors slowly so as not disturb all the alligators curled up there. smile
