How are Eastern Catholics supposed to look at the message of Fatima and prayers for the conversion of Russia?

It would seem more pressing to pray for the conversion of France, Italy, Spain, Austria, Britain and the United States, don't you think?

With its high numbers of abortions, Russia still needs to be converted: http://www.lifesitenews.com/ldn/2010/jun/10060206.html

Russian Byzantine Catholics had a strong devotion to Our Lady of Fatima. This led to the writing of icons of OLF, as well as establishing chapels of the Dormition in Fatima and Our Lady of Fatima in San Francisco.

As was recently announced in another post, OLF's in San Francisco will resume celebrating Divine Liturgy on the First Saturday of each month, when possible.

Also, a Blue Army cell within a Byzantine eparchy here in the U.S. still functions.

Sr. Lucia herself related in several interview that the conversion of Russia had to do with the freedom of the Church (Catholic and Orthodox) to exist and operate again. It had nothing to do with Russia becoming Latin Catholic.

Sister Lucia told a Russian pilgrim in 1946 that the conversion of Russia would take place through the Russian Orthodox Church and the "Oriental rite" of the Catholic Church.

when hearing the story of Fatima, i never thought of the conversion of Russia as a religious conversion, rather a conversion from its errors like maybe communism.
