It's been 12 days; 151 replies; and a host of replies from both sides of the issue--actually three, the Latin, the Eastern Catholic, and the Orthodox. In the spirit of the Feast that some of us are celebrating and that others are preparing for, I'm closing this thread so we can get on with the REAL business of the season: contemplating what the short summary of the Feast is about. God became man in order that man might become like God: more charitable, more humble, more deferring to one another in love, more willing not to have the last word, more willing to build up rather than tear down, more willing to speak the truth in love.
