Marianka is the oldest pilgrimage site in Slovakia. Its origin and history is partially covered by legends. Read more here: http://www.marianka.sk/web/?q=node/2

Haven't heard of the Order/ Congregation of the Consolers of Gethsemane before. Anyone know any more? Google yields nothing.

A StartPage search http://www.startpage.com came up with this page. http://www.slovakia.travel/entitaview.aspx?l=2&idp=48886 "A new development of the pilgrimage place began in 1927 when the congregation of the Brother consolers of Gethsemane managed the site until 1950, when the communistic regime abolished them. After November 1989, they have returned to Marianka and remain here to date." The Order has an interesting name. The local devotion to the Mother of God is Pre-Schism. Ray
