Quote
Beginning Monday, June 20, 2011, AFR will broadcast lectures—just minutes after they occur—from the Orientale Lumen XV Conference. This year's conference is titled "Rome and the Communion of Churches: Bishop, Patriarch, or Pope?" and speakers will include Metropolitan Jonah of the OCA and Metropolitan Kallistos of Diokleia. These seems to be a link that, while doesn't have anything yet, does not mention a cancellation.

The Conference Website [olconference.com] says they will broadcast the plenaries. The first plenary is Fr. Taft tomorrow morning. See the schedule here. [olconference.com]

Note they added they will also podcast on Catholic Radio International, the site where Fr. Loya's Light of the East [catholicradiointernational.com] Sunday radio programs are archived. The link they give on the Conference Website only goes to the home page for Catholic Radio International.

I'm thrilled they're broadcasting this way via podcast. I didn't register for the webcasts because they were streaming live time and I was only free for a couple of the times. If it works out they broadcast all these plenaries we who listen to them should all send the Conference the $50 they were charging for the live podcasts. grin

Both the Opening Session [ancientfaith.com] and the first Plenary are now available! Glad they have included the Opening Session. grin My morning job got canceled so I'm free and I'm just starting to listen to the opening session. Wish I were there...

Thank you, Jack, for your hard work and tremendous support in making these Conferences happen. So glad you have a larger turn out this year.

Thanks for keeping us updated.

I listened to the first two recordings. Archimandrite Taft gave much to reflect on.

Patriarch Gregory of Antioch (Melkite) sent a letter that was read at the start. Does anyone know if the text of that letter is available?

I found Fr. Taft's speech to be wonderful and it really gave me a boost to here him speak so frank and honest. (but then again when is Fr. Taft not frank and honest?)

Can't wait to listen to the other lectures.

Thank you so much for posting this link. It is wonderful to be able to listen in on the 15th Orientale Lumen conference.
