Received the following communication from Bishop William (Skurla)of the Passaic Byzantine Catholic Eparchy:

TO: The Clergy and Religious of the Eparchy of Passaic

FROM: Most Reverend William C. Skurla, D.D.

Father Michael Mondik, pastor of St. Thomas the Apostle in Rahway, NJ has been diagnosed with multiple myeloma, a bone marrow cancer.

He will be undergoing a stem cell procedure the first week of October followed by a time of recuperation.

Father Michael asks for your prayers.

Please honor Bishop William's request.

Prayers for Father Michael, that his physicians be guided by the Holy Unmercenary Ones, Cosmas and Damien, that the procedure be successful, and that he be restored to his priestly duties.

Lord have mercy on Father Michael Mondik.
Blessed Mother of God, please intercede for his healing so that he can continue in service to your Son, our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. Amen.
