There was a premiere of the second version of "St Matthew Passion" by Bishop Hilarion Alfeyev in the Great Hall of Moscow Conservatoire this evening. I just came back home and feel I'm still under the impression! The symphonic music, choir and the New Testament read by the Bishop himself... It is a great event in the cultural and spiritial life of our city and the whole world I guess!
This is only one part of the first version of this work

Thanks for the link. I meant to go to this when it was was premiering in NYC a year or a couple of years ago, I can't quite remember when exactly, but I never made it because it was a weeknight, it's pretty tough for me to come out on those.
