Hello All,

I've never been on the Old Ritualist's sub forum before. I recently stumbled across the following links containing some basic instructions on making Lestovki. Could anyone possibly translate these?

Page 1 [lestovka.com.ua]

Page 2 [lestovka.com.ua]

Page 3 [lestovka.com.ua]

Page 4 [lestovka.com.ua]

Also, would any of you know of any other online sources on how to make Lestovki? Thanks a million.

ICXC + NIKA,
Phillip

I've never been in Old Ritualist's community too... And never seen such instructions on making Lestovka. Interesting to know. Thank you that acquainted me. It's in Russian, I understand the texts, but it takes too much time to translate... Why do you need the translation? wink

Nataly,

I'm looking for a translation because I'm hoping to make Lestovka. Lestovka are hard to come by here in the U.S., and I was hoping to provide a service by making and selling them. But first I have to learn how to make them. I've been making chotki for several years now. They have become quite popular. smile

Go to the Old Believer's Church in Erie, PA. They have lestovka for sale.

Bob and Erie Byz,

I already have one of their Lestovki, but thanks for the link. Honestly I don't really think too much of their Lestovki. It just doesn't fit comfortably in my hand and the fingering between steps feels awkward to me. I'd like to start making them just so that there's another place in the U.S. to buy them from. Of course, I'm not going to sell them if I can't make what I believe to be a superior, or at least equivalent, product. For now I just want to see if I can even make one. That's really why I'd like the instructions translated.

A friend of mine on another forum was kind enough to make a translation of this for me. Hopefully soon I'll be able to start making Lestovki as well. smile

Nice! Will you make them for yourself or I can ask you to make one for me? Mine one is very old.

Actually I going to check fabric stores soon, may by I will get good leather to make it.

From my experience- You have buy twice or triple more material than you need. For bad tries.

Sorry about my English anywhere.
