Mabuhay Ang Filipinas!

Would any of you know where one might purchase a copy of El Santo Nino de Cebu?

Salamat,

I'll have to ask the locals, when I get there. I'm supposedly going to other island, this time around, with my family. I haven't been back, in 18 years. My mom gave me a Santo Nino pendant, as she said she prayed to this saint while I was going through complications, from premature birth.

I think my family, and I are going to Cebu as one of our multi-island stops. If I do, I'll be sure to be on the lookout.

Thank you Pani!

I contacted the seller who only ships in the US to ask him if he would make an exception for me . . . sniff . . .

Thank you, once again.

Dear Lester,

If you find a small-ish one, I'll pay you whatever you would like for it! But please don't worry if you don't find one!

Salamat!

Dear Lester,

I just purchased a Santo Nino de Cebu on ebay, so thank you for your kindness and don't give my request a second thought on your trip to the Philippines!

Thank you to Pani Rose!

I experienced an answer to prayer to the Santo Nino de Cebu and will enshrine it when it comes to me.

May God bless the Catholic Filipino people!!

I think, in a way, my mom's prayers were answered. I might look for something, as well. Thanks, for reminding me, brother Alex.

It was Magellan (if I'm correct) who brought the devotion to the Infant Jesus of Prague to the Philippines where it went under a metamorphosis of sorts and became the Infant Jesus of Cebu.

There is a miraculous image of Our Lady of Guadalupe of Cebu which is the official patron of Cebu, as well as a miraculous Cross.

"Sinulog" in January is the great festival of the Infant Jesus of Cebu which is not only celebrated in the Philippines, but also in many parts of the world where Filipinos have come to reside (such as in California and Florida).

The festival is quite amazing with everyone carrying their own image of the Infant Jesus. Interestingly enough, the Filipinos put a green mantle on their images of the Infant of Cebu in their places of work, but a red one when they enshrine it at home (?).
