Hello!

Anyone going to this? I'll be there.

Looks like OLPH Melkite CC is right there, also ... if the person driving me is up for it, hopefully we'll make it out there on Sunday, also. Their voicemail says DL is at 10am ... if someone could confirm, I'd be grateful.

If anyone is going to the convention, reply or PM me ... it'd be good to know if there are any ECs in attendance.

I cannot attend the convention, because I have other commitments on those dates. I look forward to seeing you and any others at OLPH on Sunday for Divine Liturgy at 10AM and "coffee and (a lost) afterwards. Do visit St. Mary's of the Assumption Albanian Church across the street from Assumption College. The church has many beautiful icons as in the picture below (more pictures at the church's website at http://www.stmarysalbanianchurch.org/images/church-photos.jpg).

That church looks wonderfully beautiful!

Unfortunately I wasn't able to get off campus. The schedule was incredibly tight, and then we were asked to drive a nun home, so I ended up taking in a Roman New Rite Mass so as to not hold up everyone else.

I have to get back out there, though ... if only to get to that icon museum.

There was some news announced at the conference.

Quote
English Bishop to Appoint Cleric for Investigation of G.K. Chesterton's Cause for Canonization

Announcement Made During Annual Chesterton Conference in Massachusetts

WORCESTER, August 07, 2013 (Zenit.org) - In his opening address at the 32nd Annual Chesterton Conference held at Assumption College, Dale Ahlquist, President of the American Chesterton Society, announced that Bishop Peter Doyle of Northampton, England, has given permission to state that he "is sympathetic to our wishes and is seeking a suitable cleric to begin an investigation into the potential for opening a cause for [G.K.] Chesterton."

Yes, that was very exciting! They handed out prayer cards. :-)
