Dear Friends,

I have seen Orthodox blue "headband bandanas" with Orthodox Crosses and Psalm 90 on them.

Would anyone know of an online source where one may purchase such banadanas?

I want to give them to my Saturday religion school students.

Alex, I don't know where to find blue bandanas. But have a look on bandanas in black. Telling the truth I was rather scared to see these young ladies http://www.russiansymbol.org/spisok/spisok_kruzhki_CC.htm

Dear Nataly,

Thank you for going to all this trouble!

(And, yes, the picture is a bit scary!).

I will visit my local ROCOR parish bookstore and see if they have more banadanas (which I'm sure they do).

I shouldn't be lazy! smile

Thank you!

Dear Nataly,

I found it! It is called a "belt" with psalm 90 and it is on the site: www.istok.net [istok.net]

Thank you once again!

It's great, Alex! If I knew, that was a belt, I should show you the biggest belt of this kind with psalm 90. I saw it last week in an old Russian town Torzhok. It is 12 meters long and 25 centimeters wide. Embroidered with gold thread (it is an ancient Russian handicraft). 53 kilometers (173900 ft) of gold thread was used for the biggest 90 psalm ever embroidered in the world. Have a look:)

Dear Natalya,

Wow! And who says people are hungry in Russia! smile

Seriously though, a beautiful belt and that is exactly what www.istok.net [istok.net] sells - but in a much smaller version . . .

Russian and Ukrainian soldiers also like to tie these around their heads when they go into battle - as I've been told by a wonderful Russian lady who works at the counter of Holy Trinity ROCOR parish.

Alex
