Please pray for the recovery of my mother Gloria.
I can't really go into detail here but just telling you my request will have to do for now.
Many thanks,
CS

Dear Sister in Christ,

I know what a difficult time it is for a daughter to see her mother getting old and ill...

My prayers go out for your mother Gloria, and also for YOU.

Be well and may God grant you all comfort at this difficult time,
Alice

Gloria, the beloved mother of our sister and long time forum friend, Communion of Saints, sorrowfully passed away last night peacefully in her sleep.

This is a very hard time for C.O.S. right now. I pray that our Lord, through His blessed Mother, will comfort her and help her at this time.

May Gloria's memory be eternal in the Kingdom of God.
May she rest in peace.

Alice

This reminds me of the time when the Pochaiv icon of the Mother of God was in Toronto.

A friend who knew a couple whose child was slowly dying brought me the child's pyjamas so I could touch them to the holy Icon.

I draped them over the icon when it was my turn to go up to it and they were returned to the poor child in hospital.

The child did die a week later. However, those who were close to him remarked how his demeanor had changed and how peaceful he had become, despite the pain he was suffering. For them, that was their miracle.

Peace is a great blessing. We are all called to return to the Presence of Christ at a time we know not. But to die in peace - that is truly a great blessing.

God has taken His faithful servant, Gloria and granted her the peace which the world cannot give.

Prayers!

Glory be to Jesus Christ!!

Been away, but I always include a general intercession for the intentions of those on this forum at least twice a day.
