Other than this big ecumenical meeting, does EWCN also plan to cover other events in Jerusalem like Divine Liturgies, visits to local churches, etc. like they did during the Lebanon papal visit.Better educate its American viewers of the existance of the apostolic churches in the Holy Land?

Our priests told us to watch the service on EWTN.
I just finished watching the live broadcast of the service. I found it moving. Indeed, in a world where Christians are being literally crucified, killed, and their children killed before their eyes for Christ, (as the commentator, Father Christopher Metropulos from Fort Lauderdale, of the GOA. mentioned), to see a strong face of unity in spirit is heartwarming and necessary.
Pope Francis and Pope Bartholomew both kissed each other's hands.
Pope Francis seemed very moved and compassionate when the suffering of Christians was mentioned by Patriarch Bartholomew.
Pope Francis spoke in Italian. Italian is the language which Pope Francis and Patriarch Bartholomew communicate in.
Patriarch Bartholomew spoke in English.
They both prayed together at the Holy Sepulchere of our Lord. Patriarch Bartholomew led Pope Francis after their prayer on bent knees, into lighting a candle in prayer, as is the Greek custom. (The Greek Orthodox are custodians of the tomb)
May the Lord hear their prayers and grant strength and courage to all Christians, especially our brothers and sisters who live in times of great persecution. Kyrie Eleison.

I used to think this too, and still do sometimes - but who's paying their bills? Not many of us Easterners, so what's the point of complaining. Besides when are we going to get off our behinds and make an authentic Eastern version of EWTN? I've seen some abroad but nothing here in the Americas. My thinking vis-a-vis EWTN has also shifted from where it was a decade ago: I think that the amount of attention that EWTN pays to ECism is reasonable, considering the level of interest that ECs have in EWTN. I trust that, if the latter increases in the future, then the former will as well. On a side note, I'm wondering whether EWTN has ever covered the OL conferences? (I don't necessarily mean coverage in the sense of sending a crew there, maybe just reporting that it did happen and who the speakers were.)

A quick google search with the key words EWTN and Orientale Lumene do indeed bring up evidence of some news reporting. I didn't click on the links to know exactly what and how much.
Hope this helps.
