In your kindness, please remember me as I lost my job yesterday with the defeat of my legislator in the provincial elections.

Alex, my brother, having been there and done that, it is a terribly distressing experience, particularly when the cause is something absolutely out of one's control and involves no fault.

Prayers for you, my friend, that you are able to quickly find a new position that will utilize your skills and knowledge, be emotionally and intellectually satisfying, and meet your financial needs.

I thank you sir!

Today was especially difficult as we closed down the office. It's just that I've been there for 30 years with some pauses in between . . .

I'm picking up some contracts from there and it looks like I'll be coming back after the summer . . .

Thank you all for your prayer!

Some very good news today which will keep in the money for some time to come!

The prayer of a righteous person is powerful with the Lord.

Do you see how wonderfully righteous you all are?

Thank you for your kindness in this regard! smile

The pressure is off, thanks to everyone's prayers!

The campaign lasted forty days (and forty nights). During that time, I met some interesting people and we had conversations that included Christianity and Christian living.

We shared religious medals of our patron saints, prayer ropes and the like.

As we put together lawn signs, we prayed the Rosary/Rule of the Theotokos.

A great team. I'm very tired now and go to have a final lunch with them tomorrow. May God bless them all. We fought the good fight.

I thank God for my former legislator, Mr. Ted Chudleigh, who was at the legislature for 19 years. A man who worked out his frustrations with the legislative process by chopping wood at home, who never raised his voice to anyone and whose generosity to me knew no bounds.

God bless you all too! (Or should I say, "y'all?" smile ).

Lord Jesus, grant that politcial campaigns in the United States be limited to this short period of time and stop being ongoing, constant, and so annoying. Amen.
