Judging by the special section on Old Rite parishes on the MP website, the ROC is trying to reconnect with the Old Believers in Russia, ostensibly to bring them into communion with it.

There were Edinoverie parishes in Russia prior to the Revolution (many, many more than there are today) together with "biritual" Orthodox priests who served such Old Rite Orthodox parishes that were in communion with the MP (some of which were glorified as New Martyrs in 2000 AD).

Also, the MP, at one point, suggested that it would include in the ROC calendar a number of the Old Believer Saints/Martyrs such as St Avvakum, St Paul Kolomensky, St Ambrose of Bielakrinitsa etc.

When the ROCOR came into communion with Moscow, its Saints were included in the ROC calendar (some times with the note "glorified by the Russian Church Abroad").

I wonder how current and priested Old Believers see the prospect of reunion with MP?

Alex
