I hear that one Parish in Manassas VA is taking orders for the Catechism in both English and Ukrainian

Has anyone else heard anything about it ?

Their parish bulletin for the week of March 29 – April 5, 2015 states:

Quote
New Ukrainian Catholic Catechism – A new Ukrainian Catholic Catechism is now available for sale in both languages, English and Ukrainian. If you would like to place an order please see Fr. Petro as soon as possible.

This may be likely a pre-order for copies that will be mailed as soon as the catechism is released. Their parish bulletin for the week of February 22 – March 1, 2015 also has the same announcement.

I haven't heard as yet of any official announcement of its release.

It is exciting though to know that it's very near.

Would this be the Catechism the Ruthenian Church would use? Has the Ruthenian Church made any announcements regarding the Ukrainian Catechism?

Not that I know of, Ray. I know there were some things handed out, by the local Ruthenian parish priest: things from God With Us, and Light and Life, respectively.

Interesting. I'm guessing that English is the second language that it is being published in, after Ukrainian. (Or am I wrong about that?)

If memory serves me correct, weren't there some issues with the text when the Ukrainian edition was first published? Perhaps Alex might recall. If not, I apologize.

IIRC, the catechism was published in Russian following its Ukrainian release. I assume English will be the third language.

As for 'issues', I do hope the subsequent translations have addressed them.
