Ung,
To WHICH sing along are you referring? Unless one knows in advance where this sing along takes place how can one be there to enjoy the sounds of die hards singing in Slavonic?
What parish do you attend? I will be in Pittsburgh Sunday Sept 18th. I can easily drive to the Windber area. Doesn't matter if ACROD/Byzcath/OCA I will still come.

Sunday late-night sing-a-long on the barrack porch at Mt. Macrina. It has been going on for some twenty-five years during the annual Otpust.

Ungcsertezs That is certainly something I miss when I do not get to Otpust. There is also the sing-along that sometimes develops at the house where the clergy gather. I have some very fond memories of being 'tested' by the late Father Basil Kraynyak on the Eight Tones in Slavonic.

I knew it was coming because everyone is being silent about the issue. Be quiet and maybe nobody will notice the change seems to be the standard operating procedure in the Ruthenian Byzantine Catholic Archeparchy these days.
Ungcsertezs (I told you so, I told you so)
SO, the big question: since I was not there to witness this momentous occaision .................was there an announcement or not? I'm glad you were able to make it to Uniontown and sing on Sat night. I have been there in years past and always enjoyed it. Steve

Hey, you know I'm both a "Doubting Thomas" as well as a "Chicken Little" ("the sky is falling...") So I won't expect the sky to fall until next Otpust! Ungcsertezs

UC: It just wouldn't be Otpust without these claims. Look back in the archives, dire warnings in years past about some NEW thing or another being promulgated at the Otpust. Is tradition!

Labor Day was two days ago, so in this era of the Internet it's time someone told us how come the promised NEW liturgy did not materialize. Did the hierarchs lose their nerve?
