Dear Friends,

Are there any online resources available to educate one on the writing of Services, Matins and Vespers, in honour of Saints?

(I've been formally asked to do such a Service, despite my protestations that I know nothing at all about how to do it . . .).

Yes, there is. Panagiotis Somalis wrote several akalouthia in Greek for various western and modern saints about 10-15 years ago (he changed jobs and could not continue). I think he posted on either the psaltopedia or byzantinechant yahoo groups.

I have been thinking about writing services as well. Maybe we could brainstorm some ideas? If so you can PM me or email akemnerus at yahoo dot com

In Christ,
Adam
