Please share that response if it was meant to be of a public nature. I personally am quite shocked at the news, having exchanged communication with Father Peter a few times in the past. Amongst other things, we discussed our shared Albanian heritage.
All the same, one should not expect congratulations to be forthcoming from the East. Without a proper release from the Orthodox Metropolitan of Mexico, this action does not contribute in any positive way toward a reconciliation between the Eastern and Western churches.
