Deacon Richard J. Russo of the Archdiocese of New York spent his ministry principally in service to the deaf of the Greater Metropolitan area. He was an accomplished liturgical tailor and gifted instructor in American Sign Language. His funeral will be served in his parish church of Saint Jean Baptiste on Lexington Avenue and 76th Street in Manhattan on Thursday at 10:00 a.m. Always a lover of the Russian (Byzantine) Tradition, he served briefly at Saint Michael's Russian Catholic Chapel. Eternal memory in blessed repose!
