Christ is Born! So, not content with their mess in Ukraine, the SSPX have gone and started a group in Latvia calling itself 'The Society of St. John the Precursor of the Lord'. http://fsspx-fsipd.lv/en/fsipdCan we slap Fellay yet?

Glory Him! Not directly relevant to the above, but I read somewhere that some Latvian Orthodox(yes, they really do exist) approached Metropolitan Stephanos, the EP watch of Estonia, with the request that he take them under his Canonical protection. The Metropolitan allegedly said that he'd had enough problems with the Russians! Is the so-called Byzantine Catholic Patriarchate in Ukraine connected with the SSPX Society? My guess is no, since they are Sedavacantists.

So if I understood this correctly, these are Orthodox who are not content with either EP or MP, and refused the Catholic Church?

To answer Collin, neither the Byzantine Catholic "Patriarchate" , nor the SSPX Society in Ukraine, is made up of dissident Orthodox. There was s bishop of the Kyivan Patriarchate who joined the Sedavacantists, but this was completely independent of the Byzantine "Patriarchate". He was received by Bishop Privarunas, in Germany, I think. His name was Yury Yurchik. I don't know what became of him.
