In your charity, please remember my dear friend and brother in Christ, David Hajjar, who reposed in the Lord on Saturday. David was a parishioner of the Melkite Cathedral and, for close to 45 years, served as a senior member of the Cathedral's security force, protecting premises and events, and providing personal protection on the occasion of patriarchal visits to the Eparchy's New England parishes. He was only 64 years old; he leaves his wife, Elaine, four children, and three grandchildren.

O God of all spiritual and corporeal beings, You Who trampled death, broke the power of Satan and granted life to the whole world, now, O Lord, grant rest to the soul of Your departed servant, David, in a place of light, freshness, and peace, where there is neither pain, nor sorrow, nor mourning, but only life everlasting.

As You are a gracious God and the Lover of mankind, forgive him every transgression committed by him in word, thought, or deed, since there is no man alive who has not sinned, for You alone are without sin and You are the Resurrection and the Life, O Christ our God, and we render glory to You, together with Your Eternal Father, and Your most Holy, gracious, and life-giving Spirit, now and always and forever.

May his memory be eternal and may all of David's loved ones be comforted in the prayerful expectation of being reunited with him in Heaven.
.

With the Saints give rest, O Christ, to the soul of Your servant,
where there is no pain, no sorrow, no sighing, but life everlasting.

Almighty God,
we remember before you today your faithful servant David;
and we pray that,
having opened to him the gates of larger life,
you will receive him more and more into your joyful service,
that,
with all who have faithfully served you in the past,
he may share in the eternal victory of Jesus Christ,
the Risen Lord,
AMEN
