Christ is in our midst!!
I'd like to ask prayers for Deacon Gene Neral, the deacon on my parish in Altoona, PA. He told me this morning that he has a ruptured disk in his back and is in much pain. A parishioner told me he actually has 5 ruptured disks. Part of his problem is that the hospitals claim to be full of COVID patients here and are not doing any surgeries unless they are absolutely necessary--putting off any where the patient can still function, even with great pain.

Prayers for Deacon Gene, that the Unmercenary Physicians, Cosmas and Damien, intercede for him before the Throne and guide his physicians in diagnosis, treatment, and resolution of his condition and that Righteous Job the Long-Suffering assist him in dealing with the pain and discomfort that he is undergoing.
"One day all our ethnic traits ... will have disappeared. Time itself is seeing to this. And so we can not think of our communities as ethnic parishes, ... unless we wish to assure the death of our community."

Thank God for you and thank you for prayers. Deacon Gene is not doing well and has been unable to serve.
