Yesterday there was a huge earthquake in southern Turkey/northern Syria. Over 3,000 dead so far. Please remember the victims in your prayers.

Memory Eternal.
Lord, have mercy.

My heart is breaking for my Turkish and Syrian brothers and sisters. I am praying and praying. How can their souls endure this pain and devastation? Only with God, so I continue to pray. 🙏
Lord have mercy! 🙏🙏🙏

Pray AND give alms.

IOCC has an online donation page.

I am posting the donation link from the Antiochian Archdiocese in America and Greek Orthodox Archdiocese. I have noticed the IOOC, CNEWA and other groups don't list that they are actively involved in Turkey, only Syria. This is probably due to historic geopolitical/religious reasons.

But I have an intuition (which could be totally wrong) that the below links might get money more directly into the Orthodox communities inside Turkey.

The Antiochian Archiodesan news feed indicates that relief had been able to reach ISIS held territories. k

Help is needed irrespective of the channels of distribution.

Kindly remember, as we ease into Great Lent, that fasting, prayer, and almsgiving are a triadic relationship.

We need all three in order to maintain spiritual balance as we enter to the great arena of the Fast.
