Why do Byzantine catholics use different crosses?

Why do some Byzantine catholics use the Salem cross and some the Orthodox Cross. it just makes me wonder because in Europe it’s Salem and in America mostly it’s orthodox

Welcome to the forum. We hope your time here is spiritually beneficial.

I'm not sure I understand your definition of either term. There are variations of the cross used by different Orthodox groups. Some use the three-bar/Slavic cross; others the Greek cross. I have never heard the term "Salem" cross.
