Christ is in our midst!!
I received a pair of emails today, one from each of my siblings.
My sister is receiving pain meds and is scheduled for hip replacment surgery that comes from a bad fall six years ago. Her knee on her right side has already been replaced. I had no idea and she never told me until a short time ago. Today was an update.
My brother emails that he is in the hospital until after Christmas and will have heart bypasses this Friday. He started last Saturday with shortness of breath, was found to have lung edema, and, after a cardiac catheterizaiton has blockages too large for stenting--he says the doctor told him he was not allowing him to leave the hospital.
Would you please offer a prayer for Mary and another for Richard? Thank God for each of you and thank you.

My brother went into surgery this morning at 8 a.m. EST for what was supposed to be a 4-hour bypass procedure. I have no word as yet and am beginning to be very much concerned.

My brother had his open heart surgery last Friday. I have been told he is doing well, but the doctors will not let him leave the hospital until at least next week.

My brother, Richard, is out of surgery for over 45 days. He still has restrictions, but is at home and steadily improving. He says he will be able to drive next week, though his home has been inundated with as much snow as we have in Central PA--he's in coastal NC. He sent pictures taken from his balcony. The city's plan for road clearance is to let it melt.
My sister, Mary, has a surgery date for hip replacement in February.
Thank God for all of you and thank you for your prayers.

My brother is progressing nicely and is still in cardiac rehab. My sister had her hip surgery and is also doing well: she cannot drive yet but is walking one hour each day to build up her muscles.
