Christ is in our midst!!
FontRequester,
Welcome to the forum.
Your request sems to be very confusing. What language do you want to translate "books about icons" into? There are many in English already. What are you teaching children about icons that separates them from what they are created for--veneration? And by your use of the word "idolatry" you seem to indicate that you are somehow in a mindset that is alien to what Byzantine icons are created for and what the theology behind them is. That word is offensive to me.

I humbly apologize as my English is not the best as I will try re-translating my sentences below with DeepL translate (instead of relying on a broken English translation I had made in my head based on what little I remembered learning in English class) & I am translating some books in Russian (which were written in Ukraine) into Quebecois French & I hope this helps you understand better.
Please understand I've been wanting to translate some books about Icons. I have used Icons as teaching tools about saints to give children & new converts to Christianity a rough idea as to what the saints may have looked like. A few of my students in the past accused me of leading them into idolatry when I tried to teach them veneration. As a result I stopped teaching veneration & instead telling them who else they can learn from.
