Yesterday morning, the Cathedral of the Holy Family (UGCC) in London performed a Divine Liturgy with funeral service for the Archpriest John Alexis Salter, a very important figure in the (particularly English-speaking) Byzantine-rite Catholic community in the United Kingdom, and equally important in ecumenical dialogue. While I never had the honour to meet Fr. John myself, I thought I would share for all those that might have known of him and his work, or for others to learn of him now and pray for his eternal soul.
