The OCU has declared that the Filaret schism, which began in 2019, is over. The announcement was made in a statement issued by its Bishops’ Council on July 15, 2026, and signed by Serhiy Dumenko.

The OCU needs to be dissolved and join back with the UOC which is the true and proper Orthodox Church in Ukraine. It shames me to know our brethren in the UGCC support the OCU over the UOC. It shows Ukrainian ethno-nationalism is being promoted above faith.

.....which title seems to put more emphasis on "ethno- nationalism"?

1. the American Orthodox Church or the Orthodox Church of America?

2. the Russian Orthodox Church or the Orthodox Church of Russia?

3. the Ukrainian Orthodox Church or the Orthodox Church of Ukraine?

........oh I know, it's just a name.....or is it? I often wonder if the wise founders of OCA thought about this. I am betting they did.
