I know what you were talking about but I was talking about what the ladies were talking about on their internet site.

ICXC NIKA Let's just agree that those ladies should be left to their own devices and devisings - they certainly have some weird ideas and I'm certain that none of us buy into their arguments for a female priesthood <shudder>Anhelyna

Mary in a pallium: that's fine and dandy, but I won't believe she was a bishop until I see a fresco of her wearing a sewn-together white omophor (with the obligatory big, red crosses) and a collapsible mitre! Dave

Hello...
Someone in Texas told me about that thin cloth (aka this post's discusstion about pallum) on Mary in the image of Guadulupe was actually a sign of Mary's virginity while she was pregnant.
So, perhaps, in the Jewish custom, virgins wear such a cloth around their waists? Hence it looks like pallum in such icons or drawings...but in reality a virgin cloth? Or even "chastity's belt"?
And also that same person said that the wrist band or a bracelet is a sign of her marriage to Joseph? Back in the old days they used bracelets? Instead of rings?
