Dear Amado,

You are right, Big Guy!

I am the master of my house, and my wife has given me permission to say so.

Some of the time, anyway . . .

Dear Alex:

As we say in Taglish (that's Filipino English for you), we "macho" men are, in reality, "under the saya!" biggrin

In Ukrainian, we say that the name is truly the head of the house and the woman is the neck.

Of course, it is the neck that turns the head.

Dear Amado,

As Thomas A Kempis said in his famous work, to be under someone is safer than to be over another.

Experience has taught me the wisdom of his words - in more ways than one!

St. John of Egypt found salvation following his spiritual father who had him water a stick in the sand for years as an obedience.

Sometimes for myself I think I should shut up more often and go grab the water can! confused
