Brian- my reaction to the way Troy was treated must be seen in the context of seeing several sincere seekers run off in the past. Apparently you all were right about Troy, as subsequent posts by him confirm. And he never answered my questions about the Apostolic Fathers, or what his standard of truth is. However, this was not apparent at first, and it seemed that people were quick to dismiss him, without investigating Nee or trying to understand where he was coming from.

Daniel,

Something was wrong with the link as posted, I can't figure out exactly what (may have been that the period at the end got incorporated into it), but I was able to resurrect it:

Corrected link

Many years,

Neil

I did not read the whole thread here, but got the idea that a new poster was "run off" by some of the membership.

I didn't see the incident - but don't beat yourselves up over it. I am sure that mistakes were made. However, when I visited here a few months ago to learn more about your churches I was treated wonderfully. For the most part respondants to my posts were kind and gracious. We do not agree on many issues of doctrine, but to your credit you made my visit very pleasant.

Nollaig Shona (Happy Christmas) to each of you.

Berean,

When you first posted here - you were up front about your intentions.

You openly asked for our input.

You were [ and still are biggrin ] polite.

Church Work may still be lurking - I don't know - I pray for him.

You did not [ and do not ] come over as arrogant .

We all have to learn - and the best way is not to go round hitting folk over the head and telling them that they are wrong biggrin

Have fun learning about the many and varied Christmas traditions that our members celebrate - just wait till we start preparing for Easter biggrin - now that will be interesting for you as well.

God Bless

Anhelyna
