Bingo! Yes, St Teresa of Avila has a lot to say to us with respect to spiritual guidance.

I see so much of the Eastern Desert Fathers in here.

Then again she was a great Carmelite and read the Desert Fathers widely.

Thanks for showing us another book that would be valuable to read. Although I think you should have started on page one and worked your way up to page ninety-three. This way I wouldn't have to search for the book and buy it.

Book recommendation on Jesus Prayer...title (oodly enough) The Jesus Prayer by Archimandrite Lev Gillet, (ISBN 0881410136) brief, delves into the history and theology and practice of this devotion.
