Dear Andrew Rubis,

Yes, the Scots are the "Albannach" and the Gaelic name for ancient Scotland is "Alba."

"Scottia" could, if King Robert the Bruce was correct, be related to "Scythia."

Some hold that Celtic culture was born in the Carpathian Mountains when someone from the Hallstadt culture met another from the La Tene culture.

So, the Scots are really Albanians! If your name is Andrew, you are a .... Scottish-Albanian. Now everyone is on the same page! wink
Ahh, this is conjuring up memories of going to the Robert Burns Society dinners when I was a kid. Do Albanians have anything equivalent to Haggis?

Dear Andrew,

They wear the kilt, play the bagpipe, can't leave off the whiskey or spend money, sing in a droning tone, stay with only one woman, and eat lamb's head as a delicacy.

What further evidence could one want?

smile Andrew wink
