This is only a test of the Avatar Icon System . With these new icons I won't post any more advertisements for tripod.com (tried to link to my own icon, but tripod pulled something...). Thank you Administrator. St. Stephen, Protomartyr, pray for us!

Glenn

Dear Friends,

I'm glad to see this is catching on. What better place would there be than an Eastern Christian forum to use our most beloved Holy Images? I've been using the Icon of the Raising of Lazarus all along because "Ghazar" which is Armenian for Lazarus is my Armenian family name (Der-Ghazarian). I think this practice will only enhance the forum's beauty.

In Christ's Light,

Ghazar

I have an icon I would like to use, but I don't know if it is possible to tranfer it. If there are any technical experts out there who could tell me how to do it, I'd be deeply appreciative.

Robert & Ghazar, we need to talk about resizing your icons down to match the others.

Toirdealbhach, please e-mail the file of the avatar icon you wish to use and I will size it appropriately and make it available.

Dear Administrator,

Whew!

I know from my Hinduism studies that an avatar is a succeeding incarnation of a god.

It finally clicked in my head that that's not what this is about. smile smile smile

Namastay!

Dear Dmitri,

Yes, you've chosen St Theophan the Recluse.

The ROCOR have glorified St Theophan the New Recluse of Poltava who reposed in France.

I can't seem to decide on an avatar. I love them all!

Dear Friends,

I've chosen this avatar.

It is "Christ the Merciful."

Some say Our Lord is pointing to His Wounded Side in the Icon. It is an icon of the "Lover of Mankind" as the Gospel our Lord Jesus holds has hearts on it.

It is also my first icon on my icon wall at home.

Thank you, dear Administrator, Sir!

Alex

Alex, I know what you mean about having to choose one...I'm thinking about changing every so often for variety sake. I like them all too! By the way, does anyone have a .jpg of an icon of Our Lady of the Angels? Don

Bless me a sinner, Father Don!

You know where you can get one - it's on that site, you know . . . wink

Getting this avatar is really having a spiritual effect on me.

It seems that our Lord appears to be watching what I write in a most direct way!

I'll try to improve my normally troublesome nature!

Shlomo Administator,
Is there a way that I can send you Maronite Icons?

Poosh BaShlomo,
Yuhannon
