Dear Tony: Point very well taken. Forgive my over-simplification. (Remember, I'm used to writing to Judges ). While I'm no stranger to Rome-bashing, I still think that they have the right idea on this issue. Yours, kl

I read somewhere that God made the cake whole, man is the one who cut it into pieces.Sometimes I think God looks down on us with either a chuckel at the way the His church is split,or with a tear in His Eye.Some one has to start the ball rolling toward getting all christians together as one and why not us.I feel the Lord wants us all together. It may take years, tens of years or hundreds of years, but it will nevwer happen unless someone takes the first step.We should in The name of the Lord and with the love he tought us.This is this sinners humble opinion. Greg

Yours,
kl Dear Krylos Leader, I am not saying they don't merely that in all things honesty should prevail. Deception is never the right path, especially not in a matter like this. I think you agree. Tony

SLAVA ISUSU CHRISTU!
One of the people in my ikonographer's guild has been in a wheelchair for a good spell. The person is Orthodox and none of the Orthodox communities here is handicap accessable. This person could not climb stairs at all.
My parish has an elevator for the use of our elderly and handicapped parishoners.
I approached my priest and explained the situation and asked if he would give my friend Holy Communion.
I then approached my friend and told them that my parish was accessable and that they could recieve Holy Communion without any problem.
So it all worked out for the best, would that it ALWAYS work this way...
JMHO....

Dear Latin Trad,
Thankyou very much for your support. I am feeling a bit emotional right now as I write, but bear with me...
I DO feel very picked on by the tones of certain posters here, Orthodox and non-Orthodox. I came here, thinking that I had found a bit of heaven--far from the preoccupation with politics which can sometimes consume my church. I thought that I had found a microcosm of true Christianity where my beloved Roman Catholic, Byzantine Catholic and Orthodox (of all jurisdictions) could meet, conversate, understand each other, and most importantly share their love for the truths of the beautiful Church (albeit, with both lungs somewhat still estranged) that Christ Himself found through the Holy Apostles.
For the past month I feel that the Christian love and respect that appealed to me so much, has somewhat deteriorated. On a personal level, I wonder if my being a woman with opinions upsets some here...who knows?
In any case, I seek the forgiveness of Krylos Leader for incorrectly referring to Ukraine. KL, you could have perhaps been more charitable in correcting me? As for Andrew, you can now rest assured that the more 'conservative' and 'ecumenical' minded Orthodoxy which I espouse will annoy you no longer...
I am going to take a break, because life, and especially a life trying to follow Christ, while raising two older offspring in today's world, is stressful enough.
I do love all of you and also this forum. I have especially enjoyed posts by the Administrator, Ghazar, Latin Trad, all my sisters in Christ, Alex Roman, Brian, Steve, Michael, RayK and others. Dr. John, to you a special 'antio'. I have learned alot here about other traditions which are rich and beautiful, and I truly appreciate that and honor that.
I pray that you will all be well, and will always love the Lord as you do. May our Blessed Lady, the most holy Theotokos be with you all and your families and may He bless you always.
Farewell, In Christ, Alice

Alice, don't go, we need nice Greeks like you around to keep us on our best behavior I had tears in my eyes when we discussed the first time I walked into a Greek Orthodox parish in my early teen years and the people all treated me so well, much like you would I know. May the Holy Theotokos Glykophilousa always intercede for you and comfort you.

KL and I both know that intercommunion has gone both ways between Ukrainain Catholics and Ukrainian Orthodox. Fairly common occurrance, actually.

Dear Alice,
We look forward to hearing from you again in the near future!
You've never posted anything to annoy me in the least. I always welcome your postings on all subjects, filled with sincere concern, informed opinion, and genuine Christian love.
May He bless you and your family always.
With love in christ, Andrew

Dear Alice,
Chire--agaths grpheis.
I know how you feel. Sometimes these fora can get us so emotional, with feelings of rejection, etc., especially when some people get unnecessarily angry about things that we didn't have a clue about.
Maybe take a little break--I'm sure you have a wonderful husband and children to gladden your heart.
I had to take a break for a few days as well, and it helped me to regain my perspective on reality.
We will miss you around here though.
Thanks so much for enjoying my posts!! Sometimes I wonder if I should just shut up.
Eulogothto se ho Krios hmn!
En t(i) Theotk,
LatinTrad
