Brian,

I sure do know Father John. He and I grew up together at St. John Parish and he entered the seminary after my cousin, Father Victor Herberth, did, so we got to know each other better then. I do get to see him occasionally over the winter. I'll pass on your greeting.

Dear Lory,

Yes, Fr. Euthymius Wolinsky is at the other Monastery with some brothers.

I know the Woodstock monastery as I've worked with their bee-hives before and it is quite a large parcel of farmland.

Many people come there for the Feast of the Dormition in August - they have a miraculous copy of the Shroud of the Theotokos from Kyiv!

To have two Studite monasteries like that was just a case very bad management on the part of the church authorities.

Our people are grumbling . . .
