Abba Isidore the Priest:
When I was younger and remained in my cell I set no limit to prayer; the night was for me as much the time of prayer as the day.

Dear Odo,

My comment would be that perhaps that fellow wasn't as fully grounded in his faith as everyone assumes about anyone born in "Roman Catholic Italy."

There was a recent comment from a Buddhist about Western converts to his religion.

He asked Christian Churches to form their members better in their faith and religious practice.

My Italian friend tells me most Italians go to Church "carried, married and buried."

That means that such people are "ripe" for conversion to other faiths.

I would be very surprised if that individual was strong in his Christian convictions or was a practicing Catholic.

Now, if you had found an article about the conversion to Islam of a Vatican ambassador, well, then you have a story . . . wink
